The Char Dham Yatra of Uttarakhand is one of the most revered spiritual journeys in India, covering four sacred shrines nestled in the majestic Himalayas — Yamunotri Temple, Gangotri Temple, Kedarnath Temple, and Badrinath Temple.
This divine circuit takes pilgrims through breathtaking mountain landscapes, sacred rivers, ancient temples, and spiritually uplifting surroundings.

After early breakfast, proceed towards Barkot. Enjoy lunch(Direct payment) en route, followed by a scenic drive along the beautiful Yamuna River, whose soothing views accompany you throughout the journey.
Upon arrival in Barkot(50 Kms before Trek point) , check in to your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Barkot.

Early in the morning after breakfast, depart for Jhankichatti (2-3 Hours drive). From Jhankichatti, begin the 8 km trek(1-2 Hours) to Yamunotri Temple. Pilgrims may choose to walk or hire a pony/horse or doli (palanquin) at their own cost.
(Temple Elevation: approx. 10,800 ft.)

The temple is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, revered as a symbol of purity and devotion. It is believed that bathing in the sacred waters of the Yamuna helps cleanse the soul and wash away sins. Devotees may take a holy dip in the thermal springs near the temple, if they wish.

After darshan, trek back to Jhankichatti and drive to Barkot.

After breakfast, proceed to Uttarkashi, a sacred town known for its deep spiritual significance and serene Himalayan surroundings. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and relax.

After lunch, visit the revered Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Shakti Temple, important pilgrimage sites attracting devotees from across the country.

Dinner and overnight stay at Uttarkashi.

Early morning at 04:00 A.M., drive towards Gangotri Temple, one of the sacred Char Dham shrines and the origin place of the holy River Ganga. After breakfast, proceed for darshan at the temple and spend some peaceful moments by the river.

Later, return to Uttarkashi. En route, visit Kalp Kedar Temple, an ancient shrine where only the dome of the temple is visible, as the remaining structure is submerged in the earth. The temple door can be seen from above and is usually filled with water, while the Shivlinga inside remains unseen.

Overnight stay at Uttarkashi.

After breakfast, continue your journey towards Kedarnath. En route, witness the sacred confluence at Rudraprayag, where the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers meet (viewed from the vehicle).

You will also pass by the impressive Tehri Dam, the tallest dam in India. Built on the Bhagirathi River in New Tehri, it is a multi-purpose rock and earth-fill embankment dam and a remarkable engineering landmark (viewed from the vehicle).

Continue the scenic drive through the Himalayan terrain to Guptkashi/Rampur.
Dinner and overnight Stay.

Early morning, walk approximately 1.5 kms to Sonprayag. From there, proceed to Gaurikund (6 kms) by local shared taxi.

Upon arrival at Gaurikund, begin the 18 km trek to Kedarnath Temple (Elevation: approx. 11,750 ft.). Pilgrims may choose to walk or hire a pony/horse or doli (palanquin) at their own cost.

On reaching Kedarnath, perform pooja and seek darshan at the sacred temple, one of the 12 revered Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva.

Dinner and overnight stay at Kedarnath.

After an early breakfast, begin the return trek from Kedarnath to Gaurikund by walk, horse, or doli (at your own cost). Upon arrival, proceed towards Guptkashi and check in at the hotel (standard check-in time: 14:00 hrs).

OPTIONAL TOUR : Visit the sacred site of Triyuginarayan Temple, where Lord Shiva (Shankar) and Goddess Parvati are believed to have been married. (Visit is subject to road conditions and traffic; For this additional charges applicable)

Dinner and overnight stay at Guptkashi.

Early morning at 4:00 A.M., depart for Badrinath (Elevation: approx. 10,350 ft.).

En route, witness the mesmerizing view of Vishnuprayag, the sacred confluence of the Alaknanda and Dhauliganga rivers. It is the first of the five holy confluences of the Alaknanda River, collectively known as the Panch Prayag (viewed from the vehicle).

Continue your scenic drive through the Himalayan landscapes and arrive at Badrinath Temple.

Dinner and overnight stay at Badrinath.

In the morning, take a holy dip in the sacred hot water springs (Tapt Kund) near Badrinath Temple and proceed for darshan at the temple.

In the evening, enjoy local sightseeing in and around Mana Village, known as Mana Village, the last Indian village near the Indo-Tibetan border. Visit Vyas Gufa, where Sage Vyas is believed to have composed the Mahabharata, Ganesh Gufa, Bheem Pul, a natural rock bridge associated with the Pandavas, and witness the origin stream of the Saraswati River, which later meets the Alaknanda River at Keshav Prayag.

Dinner and overnight stay at Badrinath.

After breakfast, proceed towards Haridwar. En route, visit Karanprayag and  Devprayag  each holding spiritual and mythological significance.

 Overnight stay at Haridwar.
